During the early spring and summer of 2012 - Jim Aylesworth visited several schools and libraries in Iowa.
He visited in several Des Moines Area Schools and then spent a day in Cedar Rapids exploring Grant Wood Country. The Independence (Iowa) Public Library hosted him as a featured speaker in their Celebrate Author series.
Later in the summer Jim Aylesworth was a featured speaker at the Summer Festival of Books presented by the University of Iowa Libraries, and made additional appearances at the Iowa City Public Library and at the Barnes and Noble store in Cedar Rapids.
