1. Read Little Bitty Mousie and write the alphabetical list of objects Mousie encountered.
2. Read Old Black Fly and make a similar list.
3. Compare the lists from both books.  Are any words/objects repeated?
4. "Icing" -- discuss the meaning of this word and others that might be unfamiliar to younger readers.
5. Read other alphabet books.  -- Use this list to help find some good ones.
   
6. Create illustrations for another alphabet book using objects in the classroom.
